Brent comes to Light Beam Capital with diverse experience advising companies and analyzing investments across various sectors. He brings a passion for excellence, and leading organizations that value their people and communities.

Brent has advised growing companies in a range of settings and industries. He was most recently involved in New York's entrepreneurial community advising a new social commerce venture on customer acquisition and growth strategies. In 2010 Brent worked with the Yunus Centre, an initiative in Bangladesh established by Nobel Peace laureate Muhammad Yunus, where he helped establish new social businesses in underserved markets. As a Kiva Fellow in 2009, Brent worked with organizations in Latin America providing financial services to low income markets, training branch offices on new programs and improving processes in operations.

Brent brings deal experience at all stages of the investment cycle. He has conducted numerous due diligence projects for Beyond Capital Fund, analyzing potential investment opportunities in seed stage ventures addressing critical needs in energy, healthcare, and water. He has played in integral part in sourcing deals for the fund's pipeline, and providing research and recommendations that drove investment decisions at each stage of the diligence process.

Brent holds a bachelor's in government from Harvard University and an MBA in finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where his studies focused on corporate valuation as well as best practices in entrepreneurial management.
